Sterilization Technician

Summary: The Sterilization Technician prepares, sterilizes, installs and cleans laboratory or healthcare equipment.

Pay Range: $16.90-$17.45/hour (based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Cleans and sterilizes all instruments, operatories and areas that were used in procedures during the day 

• Acts as support staff to the RDAs and DAs 
• Assists dentists by providing instruments during surgery and using suction to clear the patients mouth 

Education and/or Experience:  

• Valid 8-Hour Infections Control Certificate OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience 

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  

• 8-Hour Infection Control Certification  
• BLS Certification 
• 2-Hour Dental Practice Act Certification
