This position is located on-site full time.  

 

Summary: The Insurance Processor: Submit Pre-Authorizations, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of dental insurance and denti-cal accounts, accuracy of account balances and coordinating  EOBs with other billing team members to ensure billing accuracy.

Pay: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour - depending on experience 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure daily billing and adjustments are accurate and timely
  • Ability to read insurance benefits and explanation of benefits (EOB)
  • Process pre-authorizations with HMO insurances & Denti-Cal
  • Review outstanding claims, follow up on aging for both patient and insurance balances
  • Send statements with outstanding balances to patient
  • Assists front office staff at practices with insurance and account questions as needed
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
  • Cross trained in other aspects of the department as assigned
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Willingness to cover other duties as assigned
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required
  • Ability to get along and work effectively with others

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong dental background with billing experience (Denti-Cal billing experience strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with Cloud9, Excel, and Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong communication skills, as this role will support all CA practices remotely
  • Productivity will be tracked regularly
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
