Sterilization Technician - Orthodontics

Summary: The Sterilization Technician prepares, sterilizes, installs and cleans laboratory or healthcare equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Cleans and sterilizes all instruments, operatories and areas that were used in procedures during the day 
• Acts as support staff to the DAs 
• Assists orthodontists by providing instruments during surgery and using suction to clear the patient's mouth 

Education and/or Experience:  

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses:  

• Current BLS certification  

Preferred Certifications:

• Arizona X-Ray certification
