Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Manager

 

Summary: The Revenue Cycle Management Manager is responsible for accurate and timely billing and collection of accounts receivable, and that the team are compliant with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The manager will provide on-the-job training and development of direct reports. The ideal candidate is analytical, thorough, detail oriented, and technical.

 

This is a remote position and we are seeking candidate who live in Pacific and Mountain time zones.

 

Pay Range: $78,000-$84,000/year (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Coordinate with RCM to establish workflows for the team and decisions on operational activities and strategic goal setting
  • Lead, manage, mentor, and train billing and collection teams to ensure operational excellence
  • Design, develop, and implement process improvements to increase performance, enhance collection production, and minimize risk
  • Review statistics with RCM to identify any necessary plan of correction
  • Review monthly performance reports, develop strategies for identifying areas of under producing segments of the portfolio and focus recovery efforts among the staff
  • Ensure all accounts are worked timely and accurately
  • Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable follow-up and collections on insurance balances and self-pay, including making telephone calls, accessing payer websites, and resolving disputes
  • Accurately and thoroughly document the pertinent collection activity performed and follow up in a timely manner
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment where demands can shift constantly
  • Assist with external and internal audits

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Dentrix, Open Dental, Denticon experience a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in billing and collections for accounts receivable
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a billing and collections environment
  • Experience working in a dental billing practice or similar environment
