Facilities Support Specialist

 

Summary: The Facilities Support Specialist manages and coordinates maintenance of buildings and its equipment by actively communicating and developing vendor relations and applying best practices on behalf of the company with established internal procedures.

 

Pay Range: $17.00-$24.00/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and schedule preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with vendors.
  • Gather scope and cost estimates for maintenance and purchasing requests.
  • Place orders for equipment and coordinate installation.
  • Maintain a good relationship with Associates and other members of Executive Management, on both Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic sides, to ensure that the facility tickets, and procedures are followed.
  • Champion and troubleshoot tickets raised in a timely fashion by coordinating and acting as main point of contact for any dispute with vendor.
  • Have the flexibility to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable for financial reconciliation of invoices
  • Facilities Support Specialist may be involved in planning for an organization's future building space, remodeling as well as closure.
  • Performs administrative assistant work as needed
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Must be able to travel 5%

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Excel, Word, Power Point, invoice processing, vendor management, calendar management is perferred
  • (2+) years of experience related to Multi-Site Health Care (Dental/Ortho), facilities, and/or procurement is preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current CA driver’s license
