Credentialing Administrative Assistant

 

Position Summary: The Credentialing Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the credentialing and compliance process by ensuring all Dental Assistants and Providers maintain up-to-date certifications and licenses. This role plays a vital part in maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence by tracking expirations, managing renewals, and providing administrative support to the Credentialing team.

 

Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00/hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain accurate records of Dental Assistant certifications and Provider licenses, including tracking expiration dates to ensure timely renewals.
  • Proactively request and collect updated or renewed certifications and licenses from Dental Assistants and Providers.
  • Review incoming mail, ensuring documents are sorted, scanned, logged, and routed appropriately to support credentialing and compliance efforts.
  • Ensure data integrity by accurately updating credentialing databases and filing systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or delays in certification and license submissions.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Credentialing team, including assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in credentialing, licensing, or healthcare administration strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to professionally request and follow up on required documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
